Anchorum St. Vincent
From Healthcare Partner to Community Partner
We began as a 50% partner with an international healthcare system in CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center (CSV), the largest acute care and specialty hospital in northern New Mexico. As Anchorum St. Vincent, our goal was to transform CSV into the state’s best hospital.
Over 15 years, we invested in hundreds of initiatives to improve clinical services and expand equitable access to care. Today, CSV is the highest rated and safest hospital in New Mexico and the only one partnered with the Mayo Clinic Network.
Despite these achievements, health outcomes in New Mexico are worsening. While quality healthcare is crucial, numerous other factors are impacting our health and well-being. Thus, in 2023, we shifted from a healthcare partnership to a community partnership, focusing our resources on improving the social conditions affecting the health of northern New Mexico’s people and communities.
2008
Anchorum St. Vincent embarks on a ten-year mission working in tandem with CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center. Through collaboration and commitment, the team successfully grew from four clinics to more than 25 regional primary and specialty clinics, expanding service areas as well as patient capacity.
2018
Anchorum St. Vincent begins working on a second strategy focusing on improving the Social Determinants of Health (SDoH) through grantmaking and impact investing. In five years, we deployed $42.1 million in grants and community investments.
2023
Anchorum reorganizes our membership in CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center and, through this transaction, funded the creation of the new Anchorum Health Foundation.
