Pamela Pereyra
As the Manager of the Anchorum Fellows Program, Pamela supports the development of the five Anchorum Fellows, who are based at community foundations in our region, in leadership, community engagement, and measuring the impact of their work on the social, economic, environmental, and behavioral factors affecting health. She brings extensive experience in policy, management, and coalition building, with a focus on media literacy, substance abuse prevention, and education reform.
Pamela founded Media Savvy Citizens, where she designed and led two statewide capacity-building pilots that transformed teaching and learning through media literacy, receiving national recognition for her work. Her career has included roles in Taos County preventing drug misuse and at the LANL Foundation, where she focused on transforming the high school experience. Pamela believes that addressing barriers in systems leads to thriving communities.
Originally from the mountains of Bolivia, she has lived in Taos since 1996. She enjoys outdoor adventures and raising her two children.
